Handicapped Parking

This is one of my biggest pet-peeves...

Question: Do you park in the handicapped parking slots illegally?

If the answer is yes, why? Have you no conscience, no shame? Are you not an honest citizen?

Do you think America owes you something? Don't you owe America? After all, we're a nation of laws. That's what makes us great.

Last year I met a man that had a 'handicapped parking permit' because he supposedly was suffering from diabetes.

Me too. Welcome to the club. It's a family thing. I have no 'special' parking tag. I don't need one.

Anyway, he seemingly could lift a truck over his head. He was that strong. But, he felt he was entitled to special parking privileges. The 'big boss' where we worked (Bellsouth) noticed that he was parking in the handicapped slots shortly after his hire and 'called him' on this. He was fired a few days later.

Yeah, the 'boss' was a strict dude. But, at least he was honest. I admire that in a person.

Tip: Park as far away as you can from the entrance and walk, walk, walk.

You'll feel better about yourself and your community.

Trust me.

And maybe you'll keep your job.
