Slam Dunk
According to a report by investigative 'journalist' Bob Woodward (check out his body language - everytime he speaks he looks down, implying that what he is saying is not the truth) in his book,"State Of Denial" - George Tenet privately lent his personal authority to the intelligence reports about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. At a meeting on December 12, 2002 Tenet is said to have assured the President that the evidence against Saddam amounted to a slam dunk.
And now this 'journalist' in a 'turn-about' book is being trumpeted by the Dems as an insight into the Bush administration. It's not.
On December 14, 2004, George Bush awarded Tenet the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The award was one of the most controversial in the history of the medal, because of Tenet's resignation only a few months earlier, and that resignation's perceived links to faulty WMD intelligence in Iraq.
I really wish President Bush had not granted this award to Tenet. Tenet was not deserving.
What is even more curious is that Tenet is THE source for Woodward's latest leakage.
Instead of reading,"State Of Denial", I recommend,"Never Again", by John Ashcroft.
UPDATE:
Bill O'Reilly pretty much embarrasses Woodward. Click on video to watch
