Iranian Insurgents

From the National Council of Resistance of Iran:
NCRI - A top Sunni Iraqi leader accused Iranian regime of sending agents of its Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) into Iraq.

Many Shiites living in southern and central Iraq have complained of the presence of centers belonged to the MOIS in their hometowns, Adnan al-Dulaimi told the Arab-language daily Asharq al-Awsat on Sunday.

Al-Dulaimi, who heads the General Council for the People of Iraq, also accused Tehran of importing and distributing illegal drugs into Iraq.

"Just the presence of drugs of Iranian origin in Iraq proves that Iran is meddling in Iraqi affairs", he said.

Note that this accusation does not say that Iranian citizens are crossing the border into Iraq and aiding the insurgency. Rather, it says that Iranian Government officials are crossing the border into Iraq and aiding the insurgency. This comes the same week that highly enriched Uranium was found in Iran.

While diplomacy is everyone's goal, anyone who has taken military intervention off of the table in dealing with Iran is being dangerously naive.
