Who Will Be The Next Press Secretary?
This, of course, has been a hot topic sense the announcement by Scott McClellan of his retirement last week. So, I thought I'd throw out a few names that I think would either be funny or just plain weird...
5) Herv`e Villechaize
Firstly, there's the obvious advantage to the White House as the Press Corp tries to locate him during briefings. "Where is he"? "Oh, he's behind the podium"! Secondly, you can't understand a thing he says - at least I can't. The Press Corp would have to ask repeatedly, "What was that, what did you say"?
4) Barbra Streisand
She'd tell the Press Corp everything they want to hear...It's Bush's fault. Oh, and she could do all of this while singing. After a couple weeks of that the Corps' brains will really be mush.
3) Ellen Degeneres
She's perfect for the job. She's liberal, cute, nice, gay and funny. Especially the liberal and gay parts. She'd having 'em peeing in their pants. Although, the briefings may take a longer while she randomly dances.
2) Tony Snow
Naw, couldn't happen. He's too smart. And not a liberal. Or gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). All kidding aside, Mr Snow HAS accepted the White House's offer.
1) Mary McCarthy
She could leak everything prior to her press briefings thus allowing the Corp a two or 3 hour lunch. Now, that's important!
